If a foreign company posts one of its employees for a limited period (max. 1 year) to a Peruvian company for professional activities in Peru, the to be posted employee has to apply for a temporary work visa at a Peruvian consulate in the country of residence before coming to Peru.

Visa requirements for a Peruvian temporary work visa include, but may not be restricted to:
- Application Form
- Receipt for paid application fee
- Valid passport and copy
- Passport photo
- Round-trip ticket
- Copy of the contract between the foreign company and the Peruvian company, either legalized by a notary or authorized by the Peruvian immigration authority "Migraciones"
- Transfer letter, issued by the foreign company and legalized by the Peruvian consulate and the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, indicating the employees name, activities in the Peruvian company and time period of the stay. In case this document isn’t in Spanish, it has to be translated by an official translator.
Please note: The Peruvian consulate may invite the applicant to an interview and may ask for additional documents. As the visa can only be issued with the approval of the Peruvian immigration authority "Migraciones" in Lima, the temporary work visa should be applied for in good time before the planned trip.
