Date: Friday, 01 March 2019 - Sunday, 10 March 2019

Let the party begin: Ica once again celebrates the grape harvest with the Festival Internacional de la Vendimia (International Grape Harvest Festival) at the beginning of March 2019.

Already before the festivities start (on February 23, 2019) a Harvest Queen, La Reina de la Vendimia, is elected who reigns over the festival.

The festival kicks off with the traditional grape stomping (la pisa de uvas) and a huge, colorful parade through town.

During the 10-day festival there are wine and Pisco making contests and fairs, wine and Pisco tastings, lots of dancing in traditional costumes and local music, dance competitions, gastronomic fairs with lots of amazing local dishes, concerts with national and international artists, extreme sports competitions (held at Huacachina), Peruvian Paso horse shows and art and craft fairs.

Additionally, special guided tours to wineries in the region are offered which open their doors to local visitors and tourists inviting them to learn more about the pisco and wine making process and of course to taste the final product.

As soon as we receive the official program for the 2019 International Grape Harvest Festival in Ica we will update this event.
