Yesterday, Thursday September 7, Peruvian Congress gave President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski the permission to officially travel to the US and Vatican City from September 15 to 23, 2017.

Main reason for the Peruvian Head of State to travel abroad is to attend the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations (UNGA) in New York and then during a private audience in the Vatican according to customs to personally invite Pope Francis to Peru whose visit is scheduled from the 18th to 21st of January 2018.

But like on his previous trips abroad, this time as well the itinerary of the Peruvian President is packed with much more meetings, events, speeches, interviews and discussions representing and promoting the country as best as possible.

President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski is expected to have a private meeting with the US Secretary of Commerce and is invited to a dinner where US President Donald Trump will be present as well. He is the guest of honor at a meeting organized by the Americas Society and Council of the Americas (AS/COA), will not only participate, but also speak at the inauguration of the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations and later meet with the UN Secretary General and other officials.

The Peruvian President furthermore will participate at a roundtable on the future of global trade organized by the Bloomberg Global Business Forum, and an event organized by the Business Council for International Understanding meeting not only officials and authorities but also executives and entrepreneurs from nations in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
