For the 4th time Tacna, the southernmost Peruvian city at the border to Chile, hosts the “Perú, mucho gusto” food festival at the end of April.

Organized by Promperu, Peru’s Export and Tourism Promotion Board, and the municipality of Tacna, the food fair aims at promoting the local gastronomy and lesser known Peruvian destinations as well as boosting domestic and near-border tourism. Due to the long weekend organizers expect about 30,000 visitors including many national and more or less 4,500 Chilean tourists from Arica, Iquique and Antofogasta.

At about 100 stands visitors are invited to taste typical Peruvian dishes, breads, desserts and beverages, as well as fresh fruits and veggies from Tacna and 20 other Peruvian regions and to shop for local arts and crafts.

Visitors can enjoy as well live music from Peruvian bands Bareto, La Nueva Invasión, Markess, Lobos de Ciudad, Dead Pop y Kalabi-Yau, traditional dances, lots of talk about Peruvian cuisine and cooking classes with renowned chefs.
Enjoy and immerse in Peruvian culture and flavors!
