After the successful 1st International Gastronomic Fair “Sabe a Pimentel” (it tastes like Pimentel) last year, the Lambayeque Foreign Trade and Tourism Regional Management (Gercetur) announced the 2nd edition will be held from the 17th to the 19th of March at the Pimentel beach resort area south of town.

The festival aims at further promoting the region as northern Peru's leading gastronomic and tourist destination by offering not only traditional dishes such as ceviche, Peru’s national raw seafood dish “cooked" in lime juice, chancho al palo, delicous pork roasted over open fire, tortilla de raya, egg tortilla made with ray meat, and arroz con pato, tender duck meat cooked in black beer and cilantro with rice, but also by having next to other cultural activities dance presentations, a Peruvian paso horse show and several booths showing and selling local handicrafts.

A great way to experience northern Peruvian culture and sample local food.
