Peru’s hotel group, Libertador Hotels, Resorts & Spas has announced the opening of the 164-room Aloft Hotel Lima in the Miraflores district. This property is the first Aloft hotel in Peru and features the typical bold Aloft’s signature stylish design, unique live music programming and tech-forward features such as keyless entry.

With the aim of better coping with the increasing number of visitors and improving the tourist flow at Peru’s most popular attraction, a further defined system to enter Machu Picchu will be introduced on January 1, 2019.

Yesterday once again the access to Machu Picchu was blocked. Huge rocks were place on the tracks of the train route to Machu Picchu Pueblo, buses blocked the only access road from there to the Inca citadel and enraged citizens protested in town.
