Travelers arriving at Lima’s International Airport Jorge Chavez in Callao or wanting to get to the airport until recently only had two choices to get to town: arrange a pick-up with the hotel or a private transport service never knowing if they show up or take a taxi never feeling sure to arrive safely or to not being ripped off.

After many delays, now there is a third option which is safe, hassle-free, affordable and quick: Airport Express Lima – Lima’s first official airport bus service.

Using modern buses with spacious reclining seats, a large baggage storage, an on-board clean toilet, free WiFi and USB charger, Airport Express Lima connects Lima’s airport with Miraflores, one of the safest districts in Lima, where most hotels are located.

The airport shuttle runs daily, including weekends and public holidays from the airport to Miraflores and vice versa

  • from 06.00 am to 09.00 am every 30 minutes,
  • from 10.00 am to 05.00 pm every hour,
  • from 06.00 pm to 00.00 am every 30 minutes.

The shuttle service stops at 7 centrally located places in Miraflores and at the airport to drop-off or pick-up passengers. Stops are:

  • Hotel José Antonio (Av. 28 de Julio 398, Miraflores)
  • Marriott Hotel (Malecón de la Reserva 615, Miraflores)
  • Hotel Hilton (Av. La Paz 1099, Miraflores)
  • Casa Andina Private (Av. La Paz 463, Miraflores)
  • Double Tree Hotel (Calle Independencia 141, Miraflores)
  • Boulevard Hotel (Av. José Pardo 771, Miraflores)
  • Torre Blanca Hotel (Av. José Pardo 1453, Miraflores)
  • Jorge Chavez International Airport (airport parking lot behind the Costa del Sol Airport Hotel)

The timetables for the route Airport to Miraflores and Miraflores to Airport (attached as PDF´s below) show the scheduled departure / arrivals times for the airport / the Jose Antonio Hotel in Miraflores and for each stop along the way.

Tickets for the bus can be bought at the official Airport Express Lima counters inside the Airport, directly with the bus driver (please have the exact change on hand) and online. A one-way trip is US$ 8 for adults and US$ 6 for children, while a round trip sets you back US$ 15 (US$ 12 for kids). As usual in Peru, Peruvians and foreign residents can use the service for a slightly cheaper rate (S/ 20 one way / S/ 35 for a round trip).
